The Boulangeries Paul is a famous chain bread maker in the world. From 1990, this company had spread their shops in Japan. There were twenty two shops around Japan, run under real pasco company franchise ship.
The set of tea or coffee and some bread was served in the morning. That morning, I had a cup of café crème and some patisseries from the show window.
The method was kept as original recipe from main branches in France. But butter or flower were bought by the local factories. The flavour of butter and dough was a little bit different from that in France.

The luxury breakfast at harbour side in Hong Kong
The breakfast at the luxury hotel is one of the most important essences during our staying. The Bed, the Bath and Breakfast are necessary and important part in the hotel. These three factors may be as air of our life but will show the difference among the hotels.
This Hullett house is one of the most luxury hotel in Hong Kong. They serve luxury atmosphere and courses for my breakfast. I had my breakfast outside on the corridor faced to the star ferry station. The colonial building and interior will show the British governed Hong Kong.
The first one is the berry with Yogurt, mandarin juice and coffee. They kept nice quality of theses items.
Two boiled egg will be served with several pieces of batik salmon and beluga caviar and cake. Some customer may take a glass of champagne with this dish.

The customers were rushed in the stand to get their drinks or foods. The host lady had instantly seen the faces of them and passed the correct orders of the customers. It had taken just 30 seconds from the customer entering to leaving the stand. singing from the same hymn sheet!! The daily breakfast for the local people shows in Taipei were performed in front of us.

Soy milk is a popular drink and food in
North East Asia. The major market may be Chinese culture area as Taiwan, Hong
Kong and Mainland. There are also some soy milk products in supermarket in
Japan.
This Dong Men Douhua is located in the
heart of Dong Men Market opposite side from the Din Tai Fung, one of the most
famous restaurants in Taipei. This small soy milk stand may be run by a family.
The food list was very simple as Dou Hua(豆花),
warm Dou jiang(豆漿), cold Tong jiang(豆漿). Some had brought for their family or
themselves, the other had eaten in the shop where has several table sets in
small space. We have visited this stand in late morning, and found long queue
for soy milk products. The queue was very beautiful like that formed by
British.
Tong Hua was the memorable sweet food in
Taiwan. The texture was very smooth and rich with the flavour of soy milk. The
soy milk may be produced by this family who had running this stand. The Soy
milk was also lovely as smooth like silk, sweet as natural products and thick.

Kaya toast, breakfast, the Majestic hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Kaya toast is known as the breakfast menu
from the Malay Peninsula in Japanese tourists. The tourists will buy the Kaya
jam as a souvenir or daily food for them.
This simple snack is eaten in the Malay and Indonesia. The Kaya jam was made from coconut milk, some egg and sugar. The sweet taste with the coconut flavour will remind us where we were at the Tropical area. This spread may be very nice nutrition for the people in this area.
At the Majestic hotel, the butler will
bring the breakfast set on the time you have order. Kaya toasts will serve with
some tea or coffee, juice and fresh fruits. The Kaya toast was very nice. The sweet
from the coconut, sugar was matched with the black coffee.

When you
heard the name of Hong Kong, What will you image the place?
As I keep
my blog with a lot of cuisine articles, I will image the food of Hong Kong; Wan
tan mien, Cantonese cuisines, Dim sum or some tropical sweets. One day, I had
told about Cathay Pacific and the food of Hong Kong with my friend in Manila,
over our glasses of San Migel, beer of Philippines. We had immediately made the
reservation of the business class ticket and running to the Manila
international airport.
After
reservation, it took just two hour and half till arrived the Cathay Pacific
lounge at NAIA T3.
The weekend
of Manila was changed to the Weekend in Hong Kong.
The all
thing I just like to do in Hong Kong was to enjoy the Wan tan mien and Dim sum.
Next morning, we were so disappointed on the hotel restaurant China Mainlander
crowded for breakfast.
One street at Causeway bay, Hong Kong
We found
small local noodle stand near to our hotel. The simple interior and exterior
were very familiar to us just preferring simple breakfast. In the stand, there
were several sets of table and chair and small fire place. The middle aged lady
served us as our orders. She was able to speak in English a little. I had the
Wan tan mien which was Hong Kong noodle with Wan tan. The noodle was yellow and
sticky like rubber. I sometime remind the texture of this noodle when I found
the word of Hong Kong. The soup was also nice, soup stock was come from fish,
was not salty and very soft for our stomach.
In these
days, all things in Hong Kong are increasing in the price. On my last visiting,
the price of normal Wan tan mien was around 45 HKD or less. The size of bowl or
amount of the noodle were increased. This trend may be come from the favourite
of the Mainlander.
The menu cards. several English or Japanese words were mistaken.
The interior. very typical but clean.
Wan tan mien. Wan tan is placed on the bottom of the bowl.

One of the most famous and popular soy milk stands in Taipei
This soy milk stand is located near the Shandao Temple station of Blue line (善導寺). I have gone up to the exit 5, which faced to the Hua san market(華山市場). This stand is opened on the first floor. From the early morning, you will find the very long queue for the Soy milk stand. The local people formed a queue like British. This soy milk stand is very famous and popular in Taipei.
The sign of the stand said the stand was established on 1958. The stand has a lot of table sets around the kitchen and the customers can have their foods on them. All things have been kept nice hygiene.

The table of the window side.
We had a bowl of Xian dou jiang and Dan bing on that morning. As it was very late morning, the queue is shorter than that of what I read some blog. The Xian dou jiang (鹹豆漿) has very nice balance between sweet and sour. The warm soup were activated our body with the rich and good quality of soy beans protein. The soy source and black vinegar gave the soup nice flavour. I can also find the Chinese soup stock with small shrimp. The topped fried Chinese bread give some accent into the soup.
Xian dou jiang (鹹豆漿)
You will find the queue to the 1st floor in front of the Shandao Temple underground station.

A feature of Soy milk stands in Taipei
One of the most delicious breakfast in the world
Taiwanese people start the day with Soy milk as their breakfast.
The polished stainless steel kitchen made Japanese tourist feel safe and clean in the Soy milk stands. Japanese tourist will find the similarity to the tofu factory in their home town, where the old man and woman made and sold their original tofu from their own recipe.
The history of Taiwan
The island of Taiwan was very beautiful known as Fermosa in Portuguese. The strong and wet green on the mountains or old red brown brick buildings contain real figure of Chinese culture, customs and characters. Taiwanese keep the traditional Chinese character and come from all over the province of mainland China in their original roots. They also have the essence of national treasures from the Hu-chin palace in Beijing in the National Palace museum in Taipei. On the Mainlander destroy the culture and beautiful historical spots in Mainland after 1949 revolution, great culture revolution on 1960 to 1970s and Tiananmen Square protests of 1989. Taiwanese has been keeping the essence and passion of the real Chinese cultures. On the other hand, elder Taiwanese people has "lit pun tsian sin (日本精神)"; Nowaday, Taiwan Tsian sin. They have kindness, real patriotism for their country nature and family, hospitality and voluntary.
Japanese people respect the historical and
old Chinese culture so long time, expect the Chinese communist party era which
the Mainlander lost their origin of culture, nature and agriculture after 1949.
We should not confuse the beauty of the long history in China in the monsters
has the shortest history in the world for just 65 years. The communist party is
not able to became the follower of the tough Chinese culture or history.
The Taiwanese will be the only successor of the Chinese cultures.
The custom of the breakfast were also kept in Taipei. A lot of people make a queue to eat their breakfast from early morning. In some stands, the staff automatically, hand some customers some type of soy milk products which was customised for him or her. The soy milk stands is the necessary place for Taiwanese people of daily life.

The origin of Soy Milk was Mainland?
The soy milk breakfast has come from Mainland of China after World War II. A lot of people who have various origin or roots has come from Mainland when the Chinese Nationalist Party Government has come to Taiwan. They brought some variation of the soy milk products. The soy milk stand has some difference in the taste, flavour or products by street or community. I think, the tastes or flavours might depend on the community in Taipei. There were a lot of variation in the soy milk taste, source, vinegar or salt by the stands. Some stands have long history for 60 years to keep the taste or flavour of themselves.
