Nice Hotel for business and leisure in central Tokyo, Courtyard by Marriott, Tokyo Station
The Location is the Best.
Courtyard by Marriott, Tokyo Station is located near to Tokyo Station, opposite side of Marunouchi area, near to Nihonbashi area. These areas are the core part of the financial or economy of Tokyo. A lot of foreign or global companies have placed their office around this area.Tokyo Station is also the hub of transportation in Metropolitan Tokyo and Japan. Bullet train will arrive and leave every two minute, commuter train will also serve you short comfort journey around Tokyo, as Yokohama or Kamakura. Several underground lines served by Tokyo metro are available at Otemachi station hub.
The room is also simple.
The room of Courtyard have very simple furniture and bathroom. I love the writing desks which have large space for note taking or writing articles. The dimension of single bed rooms is also larger than that of other hotels in the same range of price. The rooms have bath tub and toilet with wash-let.
From the window, you will have view of small path among old Showa style building. Though the entrance faced to the main street, Chuo dori, you will escape from the crowded Tokyo in your room.
Flat TV is available with overseas programs. |

The typical Courtyard style service as US
Courtyard by Marriott served as their style as US. They opened their hotels in the nice location near to train station or motorway junctions. At the reception desk, they will provide some foods or drinks like convenient stores. Frequent users of Marriott reward will receive some privilege as free alcohol drinks at reception or happy hour benefit at ground floor restaurants.
The staff is questionable on their skills at Hotel. They have few information about the currency exchange, transportation around Tokyo metropolitan or some restaurant spot. But you will get those on your mobile instead of the staff.

Access and location
Courtyard Marriott Tokyo Station is located near to JR Tokyo station and next to the underground Kyobashi station on Ginza line (orange line). Ginza and Nihonbashi shopping area and Marunochi and Yaesu area is accessible on foot for 5 minutes. Around Tokyo station, there are Otemachi station which is the hub of Tokyo metro (underground) lines, bus terminal for north or east bound high way buses and bullet train station and JR commuter lines station.

Morning arrival to Majestic hotel
As the previous articles, I already reported about the public space of Majestic Wing of Majestic hotel of Kuala Lumpur. The classical colonial ages interior, hall or stirs were a lovely spot of Kuala Lumpur.
On my
visiting, I arrived at this Hotel around five o’clock morning when the Adhan
had been called out the people to the mosque to have worship. The national
mosque was located in the middle of the hill, the back of this hotel. My room
was faced to the street in front of Kuala Lumpur station. The Islamic style
towers of the station showed the exotic atmosphere every morning.
The colonial Malay atmosphere suite at Majestic wing
The room type I have stayed was Governor Suite. The first room on the entrance was living room with writing desk,
refrigerator and flat television. The bed room has king size bed and closet for
the cloth and has the bath room in the back. The desk has large space enough to
have some office work. The breakfast was served in room. The battler brought the Kaya toast from the kitchen which sanded the original Kaya jam at the hotel.
All
interior was modern but decorated with the classical items from colonial Malaysia, combined Malay and British tradition.
The decoration of welcome fruit plate reminded me where I was. The white high
roof and polished wooden floor were beautiful coordinate and the floor has
comfortable touch with bare feet.

Bed room
The bathtub has cabriole leg. The shower was rain fall style.

The booked plan has including the Airport meeting service, lounge service at the small lobby area, free cell phone in KL, transportation service in KL and butler service 24/7. The butlers were very attentive and they provided nice advice, lovely colonial service and concierge service with their hospitality.

The classical hotel in Kuala Lumpur
This hotel was built on 1932 as Hotel Majestic by Loke Wan
Tho. The building was constructed with the fusion of neo-classical and art deco
style. The white Roman columns were the symbol of the entrance hall.
The Majestic Hotel has long corridor of porte-cochere, one
of the signature design of this building.
This hotel was located opposite side of the Kuala Lumpur
main station, besides the main building of Malayan Railways. The white Arabic
motive station building, inspired Minarets or Dome of Mosque, were nicely matched
with the hotel building. The buildings along the street to the Merdeka Square
showed the history under the British Empire.
This hotel was one of my favourite hotels of the world. The
comfortable atmosphere and luxury facilities including smoking house and barber
branch of Truefitt and Hill of London were second to none as the Gentlemen’s
club in London.
The private space for the customer.
The Bar counter and restaurant served very traditional style
as the European classical hotels. All service and facilities showed the
traditional British Empire age but the staff and high technology items will assist
your luxury stay in Kuala Lumpur.

Old Chinoiserie green suite with terrace on lovely November
weekend
Stanlay Bay in Hong Kong was the most posh area and known as
the resort area for the Western people. This suite room is named the old image
of Stanlay Bay. The town of Stanlay was the largest fisherman’s town on the beginning
of Hong Kong modern history.
The Stanlay Bay suite in Hullett House was filled with the combination of modern design and classical culture of Chinese. The interior was motive of the hobby of Chinese, keep a
small bird in the cage. Chinoiserie taste were shown the exotic tropical birds
painting on the walls. The patterned branched bamboo painted with brown were
from the imagination of the bird cage. There was also the cage shaped lump in
the corner in the suite. The white green was lovely matched with the furniture.
The contrast of white linen, green wall paper and brown painted branch were mysterious
harmony in this space.

The luxury breakfast at harbour side in Hong Kong
The breakfast at the luxury hotel is one of the most important essences during our staying. The Bed, the Bath and Breakfast are necessary and important part in the hotel. These three factors may be as air of our life but will show the difference among the hotels.
This Hullett house is one of the most luxury hotel in Hong Kong. They serve luxury atmosphere and courses for my breakfast. I had my breakfast outside on the corridor faced to the star ferry station. The colonial building and interior will show the British governed Hong Kong.
The first one is the berry with Yogurt, mandarin juice and coffee. They kept nice quality of theses items.
Two boiled egg will be served with several pieces of batik salmon and beluga caviar and cake. Some customer may take a glass of champagne with this dish.

Lobby lounge, the Ritz Carlton Kyoto, Nijo, Kyoto
The classical designed modern public space
in luxury hotel
I had already report this hotel lobby in
former article. On this article, I would like to write about the lobby lounge
on my last visiting in this December.
The last visit article
The interior of the lobby lounge was
designed with white woods and wood crafts and the warm orange lights. This
lounge has the book shelves as the library displaying the designers or
photographers books. On this floor, located on the ground floor, has the
terrace faced to the Kamo-gawa River. As the summer seasonal icon in Kyoto, the
large terrace above the river named Kawadoko, this terrace will make memorable
comfortable days in Kyoto (The mid-summer and mid-winter season has not been recommended
from Kyoto people because of the tough climate.).
Mont blanc
Opera, chocolate cake
The sweets were come from the Pierre Herme
which has the chocolatiers boutique in this hotel. They have huge selection
from the wine, tea or coffee. The meal will be served as Afternoon tea service,
luxury buggers (will cost 10000JPY), light snack or pasta for the customers.
The evening view at the garden side of The Ritz Carlton Kyoto
As your short rest in your sightseeing or
pre-dinner drink, they will arrange your luxury late afternoon time at Kyoto.
